What They’re Up Against

Our users come from North Edinburgh. Areas such as Drylaw, Pilton & Muirhouse are some of the most deprived in the country (see statistics below).   

Some of our young people have very difficult family backgrounds and this can lead to real issues for them in society. Sometimes they are excluded from school or get in trouble with the authorities. 

Despite this, FetLor operates a policy of inclusion. This means that we don’t turn away or reject anyone – no matter how difficult or disruptive they are.
